School Counselor’s Responsibilities:
Teacher and Parent Consultation:
The School Counselors will be available to meet with teachers and/or parents regarding concerns they have about a child. Alice or Audrey may be invited to sit in on parent-teacher conferences and meet privately with parents regarding their child.
Confidentiality:
Privacy is an integral part of the counseling relationship. As required by law, full disclosure must be made if a student indicates they wish to do harm to themselves, someone is harming them and/or they wish to harm someone else. In other instances, confidentiality can be broken when given permission by the student.
