S.A.I.L. Expectations

HALLWAY Expectations

                             Show Safety

·        I will keep my eyes and face forward.
·        I will walk on the right side of the hallway.
·        I will walk on the one step from the wall.
·        I will stay in my place in line.

                            ACT Responsibly

·        I will use my walking feet.
·        I will walk straight to my destination.
·        I will take one step at a time on the stairs and ramps.

                            Impress with Respect

·        I will respect the quiet zone.
·        I will respect other people’s personal space.
·        I will look, but not touch the things on display.

                        Listen to Learn

·        I will keep the hallways clean.
 

CAFETERIA Expectations

                        Show Safety

·        I will sit properly at my seat.
·        I will pay attention in line.
·        I will walk in the cafeteria
·        I will stay in my seat.
·        I will keep food on my plate.

                        Act Responsibly

·        I will learn my lunch number.
·        I will get everything I need for lunch before I leave the line.
·        I will raise my hand if I need something.
·        I will clean up after myself.

                        Impress with Respect

·        I will always remember my manners.
·        I will talk quietly at all times.
·        I will keep my hands and feet to myself.

                        Listen to Learn

·        I will cooperate with my friends.
·        I will line up quickly and quietly when I am called.
·       
I will make certain my area is clean when I am finished.

 
RESTROOM Expectations

                        Show Safety

·        I will walk in and out of the bathroom.
·        I will wash my hands with soap and water.
·        I will dry my hands with paper towels (2 pulls only).

                        Act Responsibly

·        I will put trash in the trashcan.
·        I will use the restroom for appropriate reasons.
·        I will report any problems to an adult.

                        Impress with Respect

·        I will wait my turn.
·        I will respect others’ privacy.
·        I will flush.

                        Listen to Learn

·        I will use a quiet voice.
·        I will keep restrooms clean.
·       
I will use time wisely.


ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL Expectations

                        Show Safety

·        I will keep my eyes and face forward.
·        I will walk on the right side of the hallway.
·        I will walk one step away from the wall.
·        I will stay in my place in line.

                        Act Responsibly

·        I will use my walking feet.
·        I will walk straight to my destination.
·        I will take one step at a time on the stairs and ramps.
·        I will hold the hand rail.

                        Impress with Respect

·        I will respect the quiet zone with a quiet voice.
·        I will respect other people’s personal space.
·        I will look, but not touch the things on display.

                        Listen to Learn

·        I will start and end my day on a positive note.
·        I will wait quietly for my bus color, daycare van, or ride home.
·        I will follow adult directions.

 
BUS Expectations

                        Show Safety

·        I will keep my eyes and face forward.
·        I will stay in my seat.
·        I will walk to the bus.
·        I will use a quiet voice.

                        Act Responsibly

·        I will use my walking feet.
·        I will walk straight to my bus.
·        I will take one step at a time on the bus stairs.
·        I will hold the hand rail.

                        Impress with Respect

·        I will keep my hands and feet to myself.
·        I will respect other people’s personal space.
·        I will listen to my bus driver.

                        Listen to Learn

·        I will keep my bus clean.
·        I will keep my belongings in my book bag.
·        I will SAIL at the bus stop and on the bus just as I do in school.
