Alice Geiss
M.Ed., NBCT
 

Alice Geiss is a professional counselor and has been a school counselor in Wake County for fifteen years. She has earned her National Board Certification in Counseling.  Prior to coming to Olive Chapel Elementary School, Mrs. Geiss was a counselor at Oak Grove Elementary School in Durham County and Jackson Park Elementary School in Cabarrus County. This is her 21st year as a school counselor. Mrs. Geiss received her undergraduate degree from Potsdam College in New York State and her Master's degree from University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has been married to her husband David for almost 30 years and has one child named Jessica. Jessica attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is presently an English teacher at Southeast Raleigh High School.   The family has two dogs, named Choo-Choo and Oki. When not at school, Mrs. Geiss enjoys UNC Tarheel football and spending time at the beach. 

                                  

Audrey Thomasson
M.Ed.

Mrs. Thomasson has been a counselor for 22 years.  She attended Davidson College for an undergraduate degree in Psychology, and Wake Forest University for a Master’s in Education in Counseling.  She began her career in Franklin County where she worked with elementary, middle and high school students.  In Wake County she has worked at the elementary and middle school levels.  She has been very active in advocating for students and school counselors through the North Carolina School Counselor Association, having served as President and Executive Director. She currently serves as their State Board of Education//Department of Public Instruction liasion  She is married and has two spoiled dogs.  She enjoys reading, traveling, and gardening.
