PRESIDENT'S AWARD FOR EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE
The purpose of this award is to recognize academic success in the classroom.
School Criteria/Standards: The primary indicators of excellence must be based on academic achievement.
The 5th grade team will recognize students for the President's Award for Education Excellence who have meet the following criteria:
School Criteria/Standards:
The 5th grade team will recognize students who have:
All 3’s and 4’s on their 5th grade report cards (all quarters); and
has 5 or 5+ on Quarters 1, 2 and 3 Case 21 Math.
OR
All 3's and 4's on their 5th grade report cards (all quarters); and
has 5 or 5+ on Quarters 1, 2 and 3 Case 21 ELA.
PRESIDENT'S AWARD FOR EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT
The purpose of this award is to recognize students that show outstanding educational growth, improvement, commitment or intellectual development in their academic subjects but do not meet the criteria for the President's Award for Educational Excellence. This award should not be compared to the President's Award for Educational Excellence or be seen as a second tier award. It recognizes a very different type of academic achievement. It is meant to encourage and reward students who work hard and give their best effort in school, often in the face of special obstacles to their learning.

has 4, 4+, or 5- on Quarters 1, 2 and 3 Case 21 Math.
